use of high-impedance feedback networks, thus minimizing
their output loading effects. Laser trimming of the input
circuitry yields low input offset voltage and drift.
The OPA445 is available in standard pinout TO-99, DIP-8,
and SO-8 surface-mount packages as well as an SO-8
PowerPAD package for reducing junction temperature. It
is fully specified from −25°C to +85°C and operates from
−55°C to +125°C. A SPICE macromodel is available for
design analysis (from www.ti.com).

DESCRIPTION

The INA146 is a precision difference amplifier that
can be used to accurately attenuate high differential
voltages and reject high common-mode voltages for
compatibility with common signal processing voltage
levels. High-voltage capability also affords inherent
input protection. The input common-mode range extends
beyond both supply rails, making the INA146
well-suited for both single and dual supply applications.
On-chip precision resistors are laser-trimmed to achieve
accurate gain and high common-mode rejection. Excellent
TCR tracking of these resistors assures continued
high precision over temperature.
A 10:1 difference amplifier provides 0.1V/V gain
when the output amplifier is used as a unity-gain
buffer. In this configuration, input voltages up to
±100V can be measured. Gains greater than 0.1V/V
can be set with an external resistor pair without affecting
the common-mode input range.
The INA146 is available in the SO-8 surface-mount
package specified for the extended industrial temperature
range, –40°C to +85°C.

DESCRIPTION
The OPA134 series are ultra-low distortion, low noise
operational amplifiers fully specified for audio applications.
A true FET input stage was incorporated to
provide superior sound quality and speed for exceptional
audio performance. This in combination with
high output drive capability and excellent dc performance
allows use in a wide variety of demanding
applications. In addition, the OPA134’s wide output
swing, to within 1V of the rails, allows increased
headroom making it ideal for use in any audio circuit.
OPA134 op amps are easy to use and free from phase
inversion and overload problems often found in common
FET-input op amps. They can be operated from
±2.5V to ±18V power supplies. Input cascode circuitry
provides excellent common-mode rejection and
maintains low input bias current over its wide input
voltage range, minimizing distortion. OPA134 series
op amps are unity-gain stable and provide excellent
dynamic behavior over a wide range of load conditions,
including high load capacitance. The dual and
quad versions feature completely independent circuitry
for lowest crosstalk and freedom from interaction,
even when overdriven or overloaded.
Single and dual versions are available in 8-pin DIP
and SO-8 surface-mount packages in standard configurations.
The quad is available in 14-pin DIP and
SO-14 surface mount packages. All are specified for
–40°C to +85°C operation. A SPICE macromodel is
available for design analysis.

l TEST EQUIPMENT
l BRIDGE AMPLIFIER
l THERMOCOUPLE AMPLIFIER

DESCRIPTION

The OPA177 precision bipolar op amp feature very
low offset voltage and drift. Laser-trimmed offset,
drift and input bias current virtually eliminate the need
for costly external trimming. The high performance
and low cost make them ideally suited to a wide range
of precision instrumentation.
The low quiescent current of the OPA177 dramatically
reduce warm-up drift and errors due to thermoelectric
effects in input interconnections. It provides
an effective alternative to chopper-stabilized amplifiers.
The low noise of the OPA177 maintains accuracy.
OPA177 performance gradeouts are available. Packaging
options include 8-pin plastic DIP
and SO-8 surface-mount packages.

DESCRIPTION

The OPA547 is a low-cost, high-voltage/high-current operational
amplifier ideal for driving a wide variety of loads. A
laser-trimmed monolithic integrated circuit provides excellent
low-level signal accuracy and high output voltage and current.
The OPA547 operates from either single or dual supplies for
design flexibility. In single-supply operation, the input common-
mode range extends below ground.
The OPA547 is internally protected against over-temperature
conditions and current overloads. In addition, the OPA547
was designed to provide an accurate, user-selected current
limit. Unlike other designs which use a “power” resistor in
series with the output current path, the OPA547 senses the
load indirectly. This allows the current limit to be adjusted
from 0mA to 750mA with a 0 to 150μA control signal. This is
easily done with a resistor/potentiometer or controlled digitally
with a voltage-out or current-out DAC.
The Enable/Status (E/S) pin provides two functions. An input
on the pin not only disables the output stage to effectively
disconnect the load, but also reduces the quiescent current
to conserve power. The E/S pin output can be monitored to
determine if the OPA547 is in thermal shutdown.
The OPA547 is available in an industry-standard
7-lead staggered and straight lead TO-220 package, and a
7-lead DDPAK surface-mount plastic power package. The
copper tab allows easy mounting to a heat sink or circuit
board for excellent thermal performance. It is specified for
operation over the extended industrial temperature range,
–40°C to +85°C.
