OPA657

1.6GHz, Low-Noise, FET-Input
OPERATIONAL AMPLIFIER

FEATURES
HIGH GAIN BANDWIDTH PRODUCT: 1.6GHz
HIGH BANDWIDTH 275MHz (G = +10)
LOW INPUT OFFSET VOLTAGE: ±0.25mV
LOW INPUT BIAS CURRENT: 2pA
LOW INPUT VOLTAGE NOISE: 4.8nV/ Hz
HIGH OUTPUT CURRENT: 70mA
FAST OVERDRIVE RECOVERY

APPLICATIONS
WIDEBAND PHOTODIODE AMPLIFIER
WAFER SCANNING EQUIPMENT
ADC INPUT AMPLIFIER
TEST AND MEASUREMENT FRONT END
HIGH GAIN PRECISION AMPLIFIER

DESCRIPTION
The OPA657 combines a high gain bandwidth, low distortion,
voltage-feedback op amp with a low voltage noise JFET-input
stage to offer a very high dynamic range amplifier for high
precision ADC (Analog-to-Digital Converter) driving or wideband
transimpedance applications. Photodiode applications will see
improved noise and bandwidth using this decompensated,
high gain bandwidth amplifier.
Very low level signals can be significantly amplified in a single
OPA657 gain stage with exceptional bandwidth and accuracy.
Having a high 1.6GHz gain bandwidth product will give
> 10MHz signal bandwidths up to gains of 160V/V (44dB). The
very low input bias current and capacitance will support this
performance even for relatively high source impedances.
Broadband photodetector applications will benefit from the low
voltage noise JFET inputs for the OPA657. The JFET input
contributes virtually no current noise while for broadband
applications, a low voltage noise is also required. The low
4.8nV/ Hz input voltage noise will provide exceptional input
sensitivity for higher bandwidth applications. The example
shown below will give a total equivalent input noise current of
1.8pA/ Hz over a 10MHz bandwidth.

their output loading effects. Laser trimming of the input
circuitry yields low input offset voltage and drift.
The OPA445 is available in standard pinout TO-99, DIP-8,
and SO-8 surface-mount packages as well as an SO-8
PowerPAD package for reducing junction temperature. It
is fully specified from −25°C to +85°C and operates from

DESCRIPTION
The OPA211 series of precision operational
amplifiers achieves very low 1.1nV/√Hz noise density
with a supply current of only 3.6mA. This series also
offers rail-to-rail output swing, which maximizes
dynamic range

The extremely low voltage and low current noise, high speed, and wide output swing of the OPA211
series make these devices an excellent choice as a loop filter amplifier in PLL applications.

In precision data acquisition applications, the OPA211 series of op amps provides 700ns settling time to 16-bit accuracy throughout 10V output swings. This ac performance, combined with only 125mV of offset and 0.35mV/°C of drift over temperature, makes the OPA211 ideal for driving high-precision 16-bit analog-to-digital converters (ADCs) or buffering the output of high-resolution digital-to-analog converters (DACs).

The OPA211 series is specified over a wide dual-power supply range of ±2.25V to ±18V, or for single-supply operation from +4.5V to +36V.
The OPA211 is available in the small DFN-8 (3mm × 3mm), MSOP-8, and SO-8 packages. A dual version,  the OPA2211, is available in the DFN-8 (3mm ×  3mm) or an SO-8 PowerPAD™ package. This series of op amps is specified from TA = –40°C to +125°C.

DESCRIPTION

The OPA547 is a low-cost, high-voltage/high-current operational
amplifier ideal for driving a wide variety of loads. A
laser-trimmed monolithic integrated circuit provides excellent
low-level signal accuracy and high output voltage and current.
The OPA547 operates from either single or dual supplies for
design flexibility. In single-supply operation, the input common-
mode range extends below ground.
The OPA547 is internally protected against over-temperature
conditions and current overloads. In addition, the OPA547
was designed to provide an accurate, user-selected current
limit. Unlike other designs which use a “power” resistor in
series with the output current path, the OPA547 senses the
load indirectly. This allows the current limit to be adjusted
from 0mA to 750mA with a 0 to 150μA control signal. This is
easily done with a resistor/potentiometer or controlled digitally
with a voltage-out or current-out DAC.
The Enable/Status (E/S) pin provides two functions. An input
on the pin not only disables the output stage to effectively
disconnect the load, but also reduces the quiescent current
to conserve power. The E/S pin output can be monitored to
determine if the OPA547 is in thermal shutdown.
The OPA547 is available in an industry-standard
7-lead staggered and straight lead TO-220 package, and a
7-lead DDPAK surface-mount plastic power package. The
copper tab allows easy mounting to a heat sink or circuit
board for excellent thermal performance. It is specified for
operation over the extended industrial temperature range,
–40°C to +85°C.

DESCRIPTION

The OPA277 series precision op amps replace the industry
standard OP-177. They offer improved noise, wider output
voltage swing, and are twice as fast with half the quiescent
current. Features include ultra low offset voltage and drift, low
bias current, high common-mode rejection, and high power
supply rejection. Single, dual, and quad versions have identical
specifications for maximum design flexibility.
OPA277 series op amps operate from ±2V to ±18V supplies with
excellent performance. Unlike most op amps which are specified
at only one supply voltage, the OPA277 series is specified for
real-world applications; a single limit applies over the ±5V to
±15V supply range. High performance is maintained as the
amplifiers swing to their specified limits. Because the initial offset
voltage (±20μV max) is so low, user adjustment is usually not
required. However, the single version (OPA277) provides external
trim pins for special applications.
OPA277 op amps are easy to use and free from phase inversion
and overload problems found in some other op amps. They are
stable in unity gain and provide excellent dynamic behavior over
a wide range of load conditions. Dual and quad versions feature
completely independent circuitry for lowest crosstalk and freedom
from interaction, even when overdriven or overloaded.
Single (OPA277) and dual (OPA2277) versions are available
in DIP-8, SO-8, and DFN-8 (4mm x 4mm) packages. The quad
(OPA4277) comes in DIP-14 and SO-14 surface-mount packages.
All are fully specified from –40°C to +85°C and operate
from –55°C to +125°C.
